Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May - August).  Position may extend through expected graduation date.    As a Production Supervisor Intern, you will gain knowledge and understanding of the business through hands on activities, coaching, and projects.  A few learning opportunities include:  -  Learning the day-to-day operations by working under the supervision of the operations manager, supervisor, and HR through direct hands-on experience in all departments to learn business operations and processes for the Meat industry. - Identifying opportunities for improvement, including underlying root cause and suggest solutions and work with various departments to implement a creative solution to solve problems. - Partner with leadership to lead and direct the day-to-day activities of production. - Learning the flow of daily completion of production paperwork: - SSOP’s - Safety training forms - Time Detail from Kronos - Supervising and coordinating with employees to make sure all areas are clean, organized, and in proper operating condition at all times. - Assisting with completing orders and notify production scheduler of any issues and or incomplete orders. - Responsibility for employee welfare and safety. - Attending documented training on company procedures. - How to follow all SQF, HACCP, SSOP’s, SOP’s, and GMP policies and procedures. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
