Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Cattle Accounts Payable at our Long Prairie plant.   As Cattle Accounts Payable, you will: - Compile all sale barn/owner information for USDA tests. - Pay Freight. - Manage Certificates of Insurance for trucking-keep updated and current. - Create 1099’s for end of year and verify 1099 information is accurate. - Be responsible for AFG Purchasing and special cattle purchasing. - Verify back tags, head count so correct sale barns and producers are paid appropriately. - Prepare lots to be keyed, verify cow/bull receiving and knocking, matching barn line up. - Revise the receiving that have estimated received weights. Record condemns. - Key lots, check yields, review prices, build buys, cut checks. - Reconcile weights, grades, back tags from the scale and knock box. - End of day reconciliation with scale, barn line up, making sure head count and weight balances, and that all Grade and Yield has buys. - Be proficient in 10 key data entry. - Finalize reports, forward emails to established coworkers. - Teach and demonstrates company’s commitment to safety and quality of work. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Long Prairie Packing Company LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic II.    As Maintenance Mechanic II, you will: - Perform tig, stick, mig welding. - Perform intermediate plumbing (e.g. install and maintain piping). - Identify and locate parts/part numbers from machinery or equipment manuals or parts catalogs (e.g. Cryovac, overhead chains, rail switches, conveyors, saws, etc.) - Perform routine preventive maintenance (e.g. grease bearings, lubricate, check fluid levels, replace filters, etc.) to ensure that machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. - Assemble, install or repair plumbing (e.g. threading pipe), equipment or machinery to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. - Perform basic forklift maintenance. - Perform basic hydraulics. - Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets, work orders, etc.). - Assist in performing maintenance on scale equipment (e.g. portable, floor, and matrix hot/cold) in applicable areas. - Notify lead or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Location: Will vary depending on internship position Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May – August)   The Plant Operations Internship is a hands-on internship that is heavily engaged in day-to-day production activities manufacturing millions of pounds of beef on an annual basis. You will work with experienced employees to learn all aspects of either Harvest (Barn, Hide-On, Hide-Off, and Variety Meats) or Fabrication (Boning and Packaging) while developing managerial based skills.
