Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC., an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a QA Technician at our Acme Street plant.
As our QA Technician, you will:
- Perform daily rotation of tasks (temperatures, box tare weights, sampling, and grade changes).
- Review and accurately complete required paperwork (GMP checks, SSOP corrective action log, and SOP corrective action log) and be held accountable for accuracy.
- Conduct pre-op/condensation/swabs.
- Monitor the implementation and compliance of all food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies, take corrective action, and follow up.
- Perform visual line and finished product inspections to ensure conformance to specifications, and correct specification deficiencies.
- Use production specification reports to gather, measure, analyze, and record inspection data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected or graded.
- Collect samples to be sent to lab for analysis.
- Interact with USDA as needed.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, investigate and take corrective action, make recommendations on preventative measures, and document findings.
- Must be able to perform strength level 3 work.

Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May – August)
The Plant Operations Internship is a hands-on internship that is heavily engaged in day-to-day production activities manufacturing millions of pounds of beef on an annual basis. You will work with experienced employees to learn all aspects of either Harvest (Barn, Hide-On, Hide-Off, and Variety Meats) or Fabrication (Boning and Packaging) while developing managerial based skills. A few learning opportunities include:
- Working alongside supervisors and employees in various departments to learn and understand daily production operations.
- Identifying trends and making recommends improving plant processes and operations.
- Partnering with management to develop and implement actions that protect company assets and profitability or set policies and procedures.
- Developing management skills while leading and motivating others.
- Interpreting, applying, and/or enforcing company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules in support of departmental and corporate goals for safety, quality, and production.
- Active involvement in employee safety, food quality, and humane handling to ensure successful operations.
- Completing projects assigned by your mentor.

Hours:
Harvest (1st Shift) 4:30 am - End of Shift (3:00 pm)
Fabrication (1st Shift) 4:30 am - End of Shift (1:30 pm -3:30 pm)
Fabrication (2nd Shift) 1:30 pm - End of Shift (9 pm)
As General Production - Harvest you will:
- Perform a variety of specialized tasks in a warm, hot, humid or wet environment.
- Properly use tools such as knives, hooks, or other specialized equipment.
- Perform physical tasks which require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements.
- Stand on hard surfaces the entire shift; use of stairs and personal protection equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the facility.
- Compliance with all food safety policies and regulations.
- Adhere to all safety and housekeeping processes and procedures to ensure safety for our employees, customers and visitors.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Work and collaborate with a diverse work population.

As General Production - Fabrication you will:
- Perform a variety of specialized tasks in a cold, wet, or damp environment.
- Properly use hook, knife, saw, band saw or other equipment to perform specialized tasks, remove bones, trim, skin, separate, sort or cut standard or premium cuts of meat to specifications in preparation for further processing or packaging.
- Perform physical tasks which require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements.
- Stand on hard surfaces the entire shift; use of stairs and personal protection equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the facility.
- Compliance with all food safety policies and regulations.
- Adhere to all safety and housekeeping processes and procedures to ensure safety for our employees, customers and visitors.

Green Bay Dressed Beef LLC (Acme Street) an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for Chuck Boner (Part-Time) at our Acme plant.
Work Hours:
- Need to work a minimum of 4 days Monday-Thursday 5:30pm to end of shift.
- Saturday is also optional depending on production needs.
As Chuck Boner (Part-Time), you will:
- Use hook to pull chuck off conveyor.
- Pull mock tender out.
- Use knife to remove neck bone, chuck rack, bones, and back strap.
- Place bones and back strap into bone chute.
- Push finished product back onto conveyor.
- Steel knife.
