American Foods Group, LLC has an opportunity for a Plant IT Program Manager to join our team for our new America's Heartland Packing facility in Warren County, Missouri.
Summary:
Develop, test, implement, maintain, and document programs to control machining or processing of materials by automatic machine tools, equipment, or systems. May also set up, operate, or maintain equipment. This position will report to the Plant Engineer.
- Collaborate with team to create, update, develop, test, and deploy programmable logic controller (PLC) programs, ensuring seamless automation and control of machinery and equipment to meet the ongoing needs of the facility.
- Contribute to the design and development of hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, adhering to global industry standards and ensuring reliability and performance.
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of PLC programs and hardware systems, swiftly identifying and resolving issues to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment related issues: Allen Bradley, micro logics/processors, and scale equipment (bench, floor, livestock, truck, etc.), printers, and labelers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of PLC programs, hardware designs, and system configurations, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and streamlined project management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the execution of automation and control projects, providing technical support during system installation, commissioning, and post-implementation phases.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automation, PLC programming, hardware design, and related technologies, actively incorporating new knowledge into project solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by integrating best practices in safety design and adhering to relevant safety regulations during the development and implementation of automation systems.
- Foster effective communication and cooperation with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers to deliver cohesive and comprehensive automation solutions.
- Work closely with leadership to understand new projects and relay sequence of operation and project requirements to direct reports.
- Monitor and maintain schedule, projects, and workload to ensure deadlines are met for onsite startups and overlap is prevented.
- Delegate and balance existing and incoming workloads to direct reports; take ownership of projects.
- Communicate and provide status reports to leadership.
- Perform database and programming tasks under direct supervision.
- Assist with preparing instructional material for users and participates in training.
- Prepare test data and analyze program performance during testing.

Job Summary
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and securing networks. Additionally, this position will research emerging technologies to assess fit for business needs as well as deploy technology per written designs in line with company and industry standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and review project testing and implementation plans and project timelines.
- Participate in capacity and performance management of existing infrastructure.
- Identify and analyze possible threats and vulnerabilities, embed security standards, and monitor adherence to them.
- Follow security architecture standards, framework, and guidelines.
- Emphasizes infrastructure security best practices and ensures adoption across corporate solutions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of detailed disaster recover plans to ensure all infrastructure element (data and systems) have efficient backup solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users.
- Lead in troubleshooting network and server performance issues.
- Participate in infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement planning as needed.
- Travel approximately 20% to various company locations as needed to provide support.
