As General Production - Rendering you will:
- Assist in maintenance of daily logs; reports unsafe conditions; records plant operating data as required.
- Complete inspection of equipment to determine if sanitation is adequate to begin rendering process
- Assemble rendering equipment including expellers, grinders, pumps, pipes, blades, cooking tanks
- Test equipment to determine proper functioning
- Open valves and start pumps and conveyors to move materials through rendering process
- Monitor temperature gauges and rate of flow and condition of materials passing through cookers, expellers, and grinders; adjust valves and rate of flow
- Dump guts, bones, tissue, and other inedible parts into a chute leading to storage containers for cooking tanks for inedible processing

As a Material Handler-Scan, you will:
- Keep supplies and move production to help clear line.
- Bring in raw materials and supplies for production, as needed.
- Fill out safety check sheet before operating any forklift or walker.
- Make sure oldest raw materials are used first.
- Keep work area free of empty boxes, combo, liners, etc.
- All usage and production equipment is properly scanned and labels are accounted for.
- Make sure to use the right pallet according to the order.
- Print out manifests when needed.
- Transfer the product to the right scale location.
