Position Summary The Rendered Products & By-Products Sales Manager is directly responsible for managing sales for all American Foods Group rendered products and beef harvest by-products sales, including tallow, meat and bone meal, blood meal, hides and other by-products. Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC., an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a QA Technician at our Acme Street plant.   As our QA Technician, you will: - Perform daily rotation of tasks (temperatures, box tare weights, sampling, and grade changes). - Review and accurately complete required paperwork (GMP checks, SSOP corrective action log, and SOP corrective action log) and be held accountable for accuracy. - Conduct pre-op/condensation/swabs. - Monitor the implementation and compliance of all food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies, take corrective action, and follow up. - Perform visual line and finished product inspections to ensure conformance to specifications, and correct specification deficiencies. - Use production specification reports to gather, measure, analyze, and record inspection data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected or graded. - Collect samples to be sent to lab for analysis. - Interact with USDA as needed. - Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, investigate and take corrective action, make recommendations on preventative measures, and document findings. - Must be able to perform strength level 3 work. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Position Summary: Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC. is seeking individuals who are willing to complete a training period in order to become Production Supervisors in our fast-paced manufacturing facilities in Green Bay, WI.   Candidates must first successfully complete a 12-18 month rotational intensive program that provides an introduction to beef processing that will serve as a foundation throughout the employee’s career with Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC.   This is a hands-on position that is heavily engaged in day-to-day production activities manufacturing millions of pounds of beef on an annual basis. Individuals in the trainee program will work with experienced employees to learn all aspects of Fabrication (Boning and Packaging) and Quality Assurance (GMPs, HACCP, SQF, SOPs, SSOPs, etc.).   This is designed for individuals who are self-motivated and work well with little to no supervision.  Highly desirable for candidates to have ability to relocate following successful completion of trainee period.   Trainee period does not have a specific time frame but generally takes 12-18 months to become familiar with the business in order to assume greater responsibility. It is the goal of the Trainee program to develop individuals to assume management roles.     Production Supervisors are expected to effectively supervise assignment employees to efficiently produce a high-quality product.  Further advancement opportunities depend on individual leadership, management ability, and the capacity to assume greater responsibility.   Essential Functions: - Work in different departments alongside supervisors and employees to learn, understand, and positively impact production operations. - Accept delegated responsibilities and duties with the goal of eventually becoming a manager. - Work with other managers to plan and direct the work of the organization. - Evaluate work output. - Use Company reports to analyze efficiencies, profit, and inventory activity. - Identify trends and recommend proactive or remedial actions to manage business situations. - Work with and through management to develop and implement actions that protect company assets and profitability or set policies and procedures. - Train and develop management skills while leading and motivating others. - Become certified on forklifts and other material handling equipment. - Supervise, direct, develop, train employees within manufacturing. - Interpret, apply, and/or enforce all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules in support of departmental and corporate goals for safety, quality, and production. - Ensure the production and delivery of high quality products in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. - Active involvement in employee safety and ensuring overall safety in the workplace. - Foster an environment conducive to achieving continuous improvement. - Attend presentations, meetings, classes, or training and create projects or presentations; take tests if applicable. - Interact with vendors, suppliers, or customers. - Display strong leadership skills with the ability to develop others. - Influence others and problem-solve. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
