You must be able to communicate effectively with all employees and management.   As a Palletizer, you will: - Remove boxes from the production line and place them onto pallets according to customer specifications (pattern and height). - Stack boxes as straight as possible on pallets; ensure they are stabilized before moving to prevent boxes from tipping over. - Properly tape or seal boxes. - Shrink wrap finished pallets and label appropriately. - Use forklift, walker or pallet jack to move pallets to designated area(s). - Report any deficiencies to the supervisor. - Read paperwork to determine stacking pattern/arrangement on pallet. - Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met. - Count product/materials. - Monitor packaging supplies to ensure an adequate amount is available for the shift. - Set up equipment as needed - Monitor and change labels and date codes as needed. - Check sealed boxes of finished product coming from the production line to ensure they are labeled, taped and intact. - Enter pallet data into computer (pallet count, product information, pallets used). - Make sure product is separated by code dates appropriately. - Conduct forklift inspection at the start of the shift prior to equipment use; complete the Forklift Inspection Sheet verifying the inspection was conducted and the equipment safe to operate. - Provide backup assistance on the production line(s) as needed. - Perform all job functions safely in accordance with food safety and quality standards. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a dedication to quality.    If you are looking to advance your career, join the AFG family where you can be a part of providing quality beef products to over 40 countries around the world.  Training is provided.   As QA Technician, you will: - Job requires daily rotation of tasks (temperatures, box tare weights, sampling, and grade changes). - Review and accurately complete required paperwork (GMP checks, SSOP corrective action log, and SOP corrective action log) and be held accountable for accuracy. - Conduct pre-op/condensation/swabs. - Monitor the implementation and compliance of all food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies, take corrective action, and follow up. - Perform visual line and finished product inspections to ensure conformance to specifications, and correct specification deficiencies. - Use production specification reports to gather, measure, analyze, and record inspection data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected or graded. - Collect samples to be sent to lab for analysis. - Interact with USDA as needed. - Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, investigate and take corrective action, make recommendations on preventative measures, and document findings. - Must be able to perform strength level 3 work - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. As our Director of Food Safety/Quality Assurance you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and management of FSQA, regulatory compliances and animal welfare for our four beef slaughter facilities and sow slaughter facility. You will work closely with local and regional USDA/FSIS, AMS authorities, customer representatives, third party auditors, plant management and executive corporate management to ensure program and regulatory compliance. In this position you will have the opportunity to impact public health and animal welfare across the beef industry.   Primary Responsibilities: - Provide leadership to the Quality Assurance Managers, in updating, maintaining, and implementation of pertinent regulatory documents and records, product specifications, quality assurance records, personnel records, and files. - Ensure animal welfare, food safety policies and procedures, and AMS school lunch and export programs are up to date. - Manage the HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and specified risk material programs for product manufactured at our slaughter facilities. - Establish and monitor the acceptance criteria for our product and controls the disposition of nonconforming product. - Assure all products produced in the plants meet or exceed customer requirements for food safety and quality. - Collaborate to ensure animal ID traceability and provide technical guidance on post-mortem inspections. - Statistically analyze data and utilize epidemiological skills to make informed decision and drive best practices.    - Effectively communicate with management and customers in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and enforcing the quality assurance program. - Cooperate with government agencies and third- and second-party auditors. - Actively participate in plant management, operational, industry and government agency meetings.   - NOTE: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Ability to identify good and bad welds. - Perform routine preventive maintenance (e.g. grease bearings, lubricate, check fluid levels, replace filters, etc.) to ensure that machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. - Assemble, install or repair plumbing (e.g. threading pipe), equipment or machinery to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.  - Perform basic forklift maintenance (change tires, replace bushings, etc.). - Perform basic hydraulics (e.g. change motors, make hoses, etc.). - Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets, work orders, etc.) - Assist in performing maintenance on scale equipment (e.g. portable, floor, and matrix - hot/cold) in applicable area(s). - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
