Gibbon Packing LLC, an American Foods Group company, has an opportunity for a Plant Manager at our Gibbon facility.   As Plant Manager, you will: - Supervise of Department Heads within the Plant. - Direct Superintendents and Managers in maintaining a safe working environment.   - Assure that the Plant meets Productivity and Yield Standards. - Direct the Management Team in achieving least cost output. - Oversee the progressive disciplinary action system. - Hire and continually upgrade training of Management personnel. - Communicate daily and long term objectives to the Management team. - Answer issues with government regulatory personnel - Serve on various teams as needed. - Direct the operations of plant departments in the absence of the Department Head. This includes responsibilities for Human Resources, Maintenance, Food Safety, Slaughter, Fabrication, Rendering, Hide Processing, Transportation, Purchasing and Industrial Safety.   - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. American Foods Group, LLC has an opportunity for a Manager of Special Projects at our Gibbon, NE plant.   Position Summary: The Manager of Special Projects is responsible for organizing, leading, and helping to execute company projects related to fabrication operations in the company’s plants.  The position manages projects to ensure goals are achieved on schedule and within budget  expectations. Position requires travel between the Gibbon, NE, Yankton, SD, and Long Prairie, MN facilities.   Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Monitor project progress throughout the project life cycle and communicate project status effectively to senior management through reports, presentations, and meetings. - Provide input/feedback to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget. - Lead multiple projects at one time, with limited supervision. - Ensure projects run smoothly by assisting and coordinating with operations. - Develop positive relationships with all parties involved in projects. - Reduce costs and increase yields through direct involvement and delegated responsibilities. - Enforce and apply all company policies, safety, and food safety procedures. - Enforce and apply all SQF policies and procedures. - Attend company safety and production meetings. - Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and procedures. - Apply and enforce all company policies. - NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
