Overview

America’s Service Line, LLC, the private fleet to American Foods Group, LLC, has an opportunity for a Driver Manager in beautiful Green Bay, Wisconsin. This position is a pivotal link between all departments in our organization, however most importantly to our Drivers.

 

This position works a 4 on 4 off schedule from 1700-0500.

As a Driver Manager, you will:

  • Assume responsibility for optimization of all loads.
  • Respond to customer and operational needs by answering e-mails, phone calls, tracking shipments, and recovering shipments to service our customers.
  • Proactively work with team members to solve service failures through relays or planning changes to exhaust all efforts of operations to execute at the lowest possible cost.
  • Process delay in transit messages for all loads and proactively communicate delays to customers on backhaul freight.
  • Manage yard processes to include inbound & outbound load information, empty trailers, and yard checks.
  • Communicate with city drivers when BOL or trailers are needed.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain safety and order in our drop lot.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2-3 years previous dispatch experience.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong geographical knowledge of the United States.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.
  • Experience with other applications including transportation management systems (E2Open, McLeod, and SamSara).
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
  • Professional email and phone etiquette.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and external personnel.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete all work timely and accurately.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with some off hours coverage as needed.
