Overview

Job Summary

The Yield Monitor will conduct carcass and carcass part audits to monitor the carcass yields. This person will focus performing, recording, and evaluating daily audits, using data collected to identify trends, and work with the Harvest Superintendent to create goals and plans to improve carcass yields. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Be able to perform daily yield audits.   
  • Record data from daily yield audits.
  • Analyze data from daily yields to identify areas of underperformance, trends, and areas of opportunity.
  • Present findings from the daily yield audits to the VP of Operations, Harvest and Fabrication Management.
  • Work with the Fabrication and Harvest Management to create strategic plans to improve carcass yields.
  • Assist the Fabrication and Harvest Teams in the implementation of the strategic plan.
  • Responsible for being a leadership resource to employees and managers, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Attend meetings as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years experience in a meat harvest facility.
  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • 1-2 years in the evaluation of yields standards.
  • Knife experience.
  • Bilingual.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of beef anatomy to recognize common parts of the beef carcass, skeleton, and digestive tract or ability to learn.

What We Offer:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is between $60,000 to $70,000.  However, your actual base pay may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to your job-related experience, qualifications, skills, expertise, and geographic location.
  • This base salary is a component of our total compensation package, which also includes the following:
    • This position is eligible for the Company's discretionary annual bonus plan and merit increases.
