Overview

Long Prairie Packing, LLC., an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a Recruiter at our Long Prairie, MN plant.

 

As our Recruiter, you will:

  • Actively recruit, screen, interview, evaluate, and select production and production support candidates consistently per hiring policies and in accordance with Affirmative Action/EEO.
  • Build community relationships with local agencies (community services, colleges, high schools, employment agencies, recruiters, etc.) to identify new talent, provide company information, opportunities, and benefits; make presentations and maintain rapport.
  • Attend and coordinate job fairs (onsite and off-site) to attract new talent.
  • Assist with job postings and advertisement process using job services, newspaper, online, social media, radio, billboards, local publications, colleges, high schools, etc.).
  • Maintain and manage job postings using Applicant Tracking System (internal and external).
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Coordinate interviews and arrange travel and/or lodging as needed.
  • Ensure hire and pre-employment paperwork (job offer letter, Form I-9) is completed, per hiring policies.
  • Maintain recruiting reports (production staffing, interview, rehires, etc.).
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
  • Propose and implement ongoing innovations and improvements to recruitment process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS a plus).
  • Recruitment experience in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Social and digital recruiting experience.
  • Familiarity with best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good time management: ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees across the organization and the public.
  • The ability to build relationships, internally and externally.
  • Must be professional, results driven, and able to perform duties with minimal direction.

What We Offer:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is between $60,000.00 However, your actual base pay may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to your job-related experience, qualifications, skills, expertise, and geographic location.
  • This base salary is a component of our total compensation package, which also includes the following:
    • This position is eligible for the Company's discretionary annual bonus plan and merit increases.
