JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics will lead our business analytics team and promote data-driven insights across the organization. This management role will be instrumental in shaping business strategy, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering measurable business value. This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid technical skill set and the ability to provide hands-on data analysis, modeling and visualization to assist others with making business decisions based on a variety of reasons, including data. Using OneStream, Power BI, internal and external data, this position will drive enterprise-wide reporting and analytics, translating complex data into actionable insights empowering various teams and departments including but not limited to Supply Chain (procurement, sales, distribution, operations, and finance).

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the Analytics Vision:
    • Drive enterprise-wide reporting and analytics, translating complex data into actionable insights that empower all teams making up the supply chain (procurement, finance, sales, operations, and distribution.
    • Champion a data-driven culture and adoption, promoting the use of BI insights in everyday business processes: Mentor teams on best practices, build a community of BI users, and foster innovation in analytics.
    • Collaborate with IT leaders, cross functional Supply Chain (procurement, sales, distribution, operations, and finance) teams to establish a long-term comprehensive BI strategy (using OneStream and Power BI for reporting, analytics, and visualization) that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
    • Stay at the cutting edge of data analytics and visualization technologies, continuously improving processes and solutions.
    • Optimize performance and scalability: Design dashboards with a focus on usability, efficiency, and adaptability to meet evolving business needs.
    • Drive continuous improvement by automating, refining, and implementing processes and tools to support scalable growth.
    • Drive change management and the evolution of financial processes and systems, ensuring scalability and alignment with Company growth.
  • Model and Perform:
    • Lead cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain (procurement, sales, distribution, operations, and finance) teams to align and prioritize analytics solutions with business objectives.
    • Leverage your knowledge of data analytics tools and platforms to create, maintain, and optimize reporting, dashboards and analysis.
    • Oversee data analysis activities, including data mining, trend analysis, and predictive modeling, to extract actionable insights.
    • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide stakeholders with timely, relevant, and accurate information.
    • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage data to address business challenges, uncover new opportunities, identify and analyze industry trends to inform business strategy and enhance competitive positioning.
    • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess business performance and operational efficiency. Provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership
    • Direct the creation and continuous improvement of dashboards and data analysis to support internal stakeholders ensuring insights are easily accessible and actionable
    • Optimize the use of existing BI tools and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across all platforms and systems.
  • Leadership and Talent Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Promote best practices in data analysis and visualization with a focus on insight generation and call to action
    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business, translating complex data requirements and analytical findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels, influencing decision-making and promoting a data-driven culture
    • Foster collaboration between the Business Analytics and IT teams.
    • Guide the business analytics team to identify major opportunities using our data and 3rd party data, influencing strategic decisions
    • Provide mentorship, direction, and oversight to employees and contractors, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Establish a culture of analytical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Advocate for financial best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, data, economics or related field: MBA or CMA preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in FP&A, Data Analytics, Operational Finance, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and visualization including but not limited to cash flow, financial modeling and analysis and financial planning systems and ERP platforms (e.g. Infor M3, OneStream, Power BI).

  • and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Critical thinking skills including but not limited to, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Commitment to demonstrating the highest standard of ethical conduct and integrity; a willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.
