Job Summary
The Utilities Superintendent is responsible for accountable for the supply of industrial services for the plant (refrigeration / Boiler operation / hot / cold water supplies for the facility), ensuring a safe, efficient, and reliable operation / maintenance of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Diploma or GED.
5 years of experience managing utilities (Ammonia Refrigeration / Steam Boilers)
Demonstrated leadership experience supervising, planning, and scheduling a maintenance crew.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior management experience in a beef/meat facility.
Licensing/certifications for ammonia/boiler operations.
PSM/RMP trained and experienced.
Bilingual English / Spanish
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
Working knowledge of air compressors.
Working knowledge of steam generation (gas fired boilers).
Working knowledge of water pump systems.
Theoretical knowledge of PSM standards.
Strong knowledge and troubleshooting of overhead conveying systems, conveyors, HVAC, hydraulics, compressed air systems, electrical systems, and equipment utilized in food processing.
Ability to communicate well (verbal and written) with all levels of employees from hourly to upper management.
Ability to identify and address safety hazards; promote safety on a daily basis.
Ability to lead by example, encourage teamwork and learning, and motivate the hourly workforce.
Must have a high math and mechanical aptitude; be assertive; and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
