Overview

We are excited to offer a promising career opportunity for a Bilingual Human Resources professional at our state-of-the-art America’s Heartland Packing (AHP) facility in Wright City, Missouri. In this role, you will be exposed to various aspects of our business and contribute to multiple functions, including HR recruiting, payroll, employee relations, training, and safety. You will work closely with leaders from different departments and engage in community projects and initiatives. This is your start in the meat industry journey before you are finally placed in a position either at AHP or any of our other facilities.

 

Bilingual candidates fluent in languages such as French, Spanish, or Burmese are highly encouraged to apply. While relocation is not a requirement, candidates open to relocating outside of Missouri in the future are also encouraged to apply

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and audit new hire Forms as needed.
  • File HR-related documents promptly and manage document shredding as needed.
  • Identify patterns in HR and safety issues and suggest proactive measures to enhance engagement.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of legal requirements and help enforce company policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on various projects and activities.
  • Help lead initiatives focused on HR admin work, recruitment, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with all employees, fostering a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Engage with community members, vendors, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Partner and work on many other tasks outside of HR & Safety with different functions such as Quality, Operations, Corporate staff, etc.
  • Spend a significant amount of time working either behind a desk or on the production floor.
  • Expected to work long hours and weekends as needed.
  • Lead various projects and tasks with high flexibility to change direction quickly as needed.
  • Cover for many positions as needed. The positions assigned may be on the production floor in a few circumstances.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/Burmese/French and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Ability to initially travel overnight for training during the first 90 days.
  • Flexibility in work hours based on business needs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be proactive, passionate about people, and dedicated to achieving the best results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing.
  • Prior experience in engineering or continuous improvement
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Prior experience working in Safety, Business Analytics
  • Current knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced with Windows-based PCs.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, exercising mature judgment.
