Location: Collagen Solutions - Glencoe, MN

Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May – August 2022)

 

As a Lab Quality Assurance Intern, you will: Gain knowledge and understanding of the business through hands on activities, coaching, and projects. A few learning opportunities include:

  • Process tissue in lab per customer and company requirements.
  • Set up, clean up, and sanitize lab and stock supplies.
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve product quality.
  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
  • Responsible for identifying technical issues, identify root cause of problem, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems.  Utilize corrective action processes.
  • Test systems and procedures to ensure they meet technical standards and create quality and safety documentation.
  • Document results and findings after inspections are carried out.
  • Develop inspection methods to analyze tissue quality.  Improve tissue quality by making recommendations for change.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations.
  • Execute process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and FMEA requirements.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must have completed your Junior year at a credited College or University.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Have the desire and ability to work well both independently and cross functionally.
  • Are willing to engage others through strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Are an inquisitive individual that has a desire to gain knowledge through experience.
  • Ability to perform all duties required in both office and manufacturing environments wearing proper PPE.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from working location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a quality role.
  • Knowledge of working in a harvest facility.
  • Experience in a harvest facility.

Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are key components.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.

  • Ability to ensure quality product to our customers.
